Jesus calls us to a life of transformation, where we daily reflect His divine nature. Living Out God’s Nature—A Daily Call to Transformation is not just a suggestion but a deep call from God to walk in the fullness of what He has provided.

Read Part Two: Partakers of the Divine Nature
As believers, we often strive for godliness, forgetting that His divine power has already given us everything we need for life and holiness (2 Peter 1:3). This devotional from Water and Bread of Life Ministry (WBL Ministry) reminds us that growing in Christ is not about struggling in our own strength but about receiving His grace and walking in faith.
“His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness…” – 2 Peter 1:3
We often approach godliness as something to be pursued, an uphill battle requiring relentless effort. But Peter’s words shift our perspective: God has already given us everything we need for life and godliness. It’s not about striving—it’s about receiving, walking, and growing. Receiving His provision enables us to walk in His ways, and this in turn leads to spiritual growth.
Yet, many of us live beneath our inheritance. We struggle with the same sins, fears, and doubts that Christ has already given us victory over. Why? Because partaking in God’s nature is not automatic—it requires intentional, daily choices.
What Does Walking in God’s Nature Look Like?
1. A Daily Surrender to His Presence
You cannot reflect God’s nature without abiding in Him. Make time daily for His presence, surrendering your anxieties, your plans, and your desire for control. True surrender allows God to guide your steps and shape your heart.
- Before reaching for your phone in the morning, reach for Him in prayer.
- Before letting the noise of the world shape your day, let His Word shape you.
2. Choosing Righteousness Over Compromise
The world will always offer shortcuts, but God calls us to holiness.
- Ask yourself: Is this decision leading me closer to Christ or further away?
- Refuse to justify sin. Small compromises open the door to spiritual decay.
3. Faith in Action—Living Out God’s Promises
God’s Word is filled with promises, but they must be activated through faith.
- Are you living as someone who believes God is your provider? Your healer? Your defender
- When fear or doubt arises, declare His promises over your situation. Faith speaks what God has already said.
4. Guarding Against the Corruption of the World
God’s nature cannot flourish in an environment poisoned by sin and distraction.
- Be mindful of what you consume. What enters your mind through entertainment, conversations, or social media?
- Just as a healthy body requires good nourishment, a godly life requires godly input.
5. Walking in Love—The Mark of Christ in You
Christlikeness is not measured by how much we know but by how well we love.
- Forgive quickly. Serve joyfully. Speak the truth with grace.
- Ask yourself: Would people recognize Christ in me today?
Your Next Step—A Challenge for This Week
- If your prayer life has been weak, set a dedicated time each day to seek Him.
- If your heart has been burdened with unforgiveness, choose to release it.
- If compromise has crept in, shut the door on sin and recommit to holiness.
God has not called you to struggle but to walk in His fullness. He has already provided everything you need—will you step into it and experience the abundant life He has for you?
This week, take a step toward transformation. Strengthen your prayer life, release unforgiveness, and recommit to holiness. God has provided everything you need—step into it and experience His abundant life!
