There Is Nothing To Worry About: Stop Worrying And Start Thinking God’s Thoughts

Stop Worrying And Start Thinking God's Thoughts

Dear believer, today I ask you to stop worrying and start thinking God’s thoughts. When we come to God, we must surrender everything to Him. As Peter said to Jesus in Matthew 19:27, “Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee.” This surrender is necessary to experience the full benefits of being in a relationship with God. However, it’s important to understand that we can’t fully comprehend the thoughts and ways of God. As Isaiah 55:8 says, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.” Instead of trying to understand everything, we should focus on thinking about God’s thoughts.

What are God’s thoughts?

The Bible gives us some examples:

However, many believers don’t experience these blessings because they don’t fully trust God. God requires our absolute surrender – our will, way, and thoughts. As Jesus said in Matthew 22:37, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.”

When we seek God first and trust Him completely, He will provide everything we need, as Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

So, instead of worrying about the future, we should cast all our cares upon God and trust Him to take care of us, as 1 Peter 5:6-7 says, “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

In conclusion, we should stop worrying and start thinking about God’s thoughts. As Jesus said in Matthew 6:34, “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” Trust in God, surrender everything to Him, and He will take care of us.
