The majesty of God is a theme that runs through the entire Bible. From the first chapter of Genesis to the last chapter of Revelation, we see the splendour and glory of God on display. He is not just great, but He is majestic, clothed with splendour and glory, and His greatness fills the heavens and the earth.

In this post, we will explore some of the Bible verses that reveal God’s majesty and how we can respond to Him with awe and worship.
Acknowledging the Majesty Of God
King David acknowledged God’s majesty when he prayed, “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all” (1 Chronicles 29:11). We can join David in this prayer by recognizing that everything belongs to God, and He alone deserves to be praised as sovereign over all.
Psalmist also celebrated God’s majesty when he wrote, “Bless the Lord, O my soul! O Lord my God, you are very great! You are clothed with splendour and majesty” (Psalm 104:1). We can bless God by admiring His works of creation and by trusting Him to provide for our needs.
Knowing God (Attributes and character)
The writer of Hebrews described Jesus Christ as the perfect revelation of God’s majesty. He wrote, “He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power” (Hebrews 1:3). We can honour Jesus Christ by confessing Him as our Lord and Savior and by following Him as our example and leader.
Finally, the twenty-four elders who worshipped before God’s throne in heaven sang, “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created” (Revelation 4:11). We can join this heavenly chorus by praising God for His sovereignty and wisdom, and by submitting to His will in our lives.
Our Bible tells us that we should respond to God’s majesty by fearing Him, loving Him, worshipping Him, serving Him, obeying Him, glorifying Him, trusting Him, thanking Him, honouring Him, rejoicing in Him, delighting in Him, depending on Him, seeking Him, knowing Him, and enjoying Him.
The more we study God’s word, the more we will discover how awesome He is. May we always be amazed by His majesty and live for His glory!
In conclusion, the majesty of God is a theme that runs through the entire Bible. We can respond to His majesty by recognizing that everything belongs to Him, admiring His works of creation, confessing Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, and submitting to His will in our lives. May we always be in awe of His majesty and live for His glory.
