Today’s devotional encourages believers to take up a life of faith, by pleasing God and trusting in his plan. Have you ever wondered what pleases God? The Bible is clear that without faith, it is impossible to please Him (Hebrews 11:6). So what exactly is faith?
The Bible defines faith as the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). Faith is our trust in God, our handle on what we cannot see, and the foundation of everything that makes life worth living.
Pleasing God And Trusting In His Plan
As believers, we must believe that God exists and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). We must acknowledge that God is the Master of Heaven and Earth and that He created the world and everything in it (Acts 17:24-29).
He is not a God who needs the human race to run errands for Him, nor does He live in custom-made shrines. Instead, He is near to us, and we can live and move in Him (Acts 17:28).
God’s love for the world is demonstrated through Jesus Christ. He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16-17). Through Christ, we can have a new life, old things will pass away, and everything will become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Life and faith
Living a life of faith in God means that we should not worry about what’s on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in our closet are in fashion. There is more to life than the food we eat and the clothes we wear. God takes care of the birds, and we are more important to Him than they are. We should trust Him to take care of us and our needs (Matthew 6:25-34).
God wants us to relax, not to be preoccupied with getting, but to respond to His giving. He desires that we have absolute faith in Him and steep our lives in the reality of His existence, His gracious initiative, and His divine plan. We should not worry about things that are beyond our control but trust God with our lives and our future (Proverbs 3:5-6).
In conclusion, faith is the key to pleasing God. It is our trust in Him, the foundation of everything that makes life worth living. We should believe that God exists and that He rewards those who diligently seek Him. We should acknowledge that He is the Master of Heaven and Earth and that He created everything.
We should trust Him to take care of our needs, and we should not worry about things that are beyond our control. Instead, we should relax and respond to His giving with absolute faith in Him. Remember, “Without faith, it is impossible to please Him” (Hebrews 11:6).
