That same power—the kind that shook the earth and rolled away the stone—changed everything on a quiet Sunday morning two thousand years ago. Picture Mary Magdalene standing at the tomb, tears staining her face, her heart heavy with grief.

Catch Up: April Theme – That Same Power

She’d come to mourn her Lord, expecting death’s cold grip to have the final word. But then, a whisper of light, a tremor in the ground—the tomb was empty! Jesus was alive, raised by the mighty hand of God. That same power, the one that broke death’s chains, isn’t just a story from the past—it’s alive in you today, ready to transform your every step.

Living in Resurrection Power

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the heartbeat of our faith. Without it, as 1 Corinthians 15:17 warns, our hope would be empty—salvation, victory over sin, and eternal life would slip through our fingers like water. But Jesus, the Bread of Life, didn’t just rise to leave us hungry.

His resurrection fills us with living water, a wellspring of power through the Holy Spirit, as Romans 8:11 declares: “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” This isn’t a distant promise—it’s a reality for every believer.

“But God raised Him from the dead.” – Acts 13:30 (NASB1995)

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation of our faith. Without it, salvation, victory over sin, and the hope of eternal life would be meaningless (1 Corinthians 15:17). Yet, many believers acknowledge this truth without fully experiencing its power in their daily lives.

The reality is this: The same power that raised Christ from the dead dwells within us today.

The Divine Act: Jesus’s Resurrection

Acts 13:33 confirms that Jesus’ resurrection fulfilled God’s promise:

”…that God has fulfilled this promise to our children in that He raised up Jesus, as it is also written in the second Psalm, ‘You are My Son; today I have begotten You.’”

His resurrection was a triumph over sin, death, and the grave. Having been raised in glory, Christ will never face death again (Romans 6:9). The power of God proved greater than the grip of death, making the resurrection an eternal victory.

The Indwelling Power: The Spirit Within

Romans 8:11 reveals an astonishing truth:

“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”

The Holy Spirit, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in every believer. His power is not distant or abstract—it is actively at work, strengthening us, transforming us, and enabling victory over sin, fear, and spiritual death.

Practical Application: Living in Resurrection Power

How can we apply this power in daily life?

At Deep Calls Ministry, we believe this power isn’t meant to sit dormant. The Holy Spirit, who raised Jesus, lives in you—strengthening, transforming, and breaking every chain. Here’s how to apply it daily:

  • Victory Over Sin – Sin no longer rules over us. We have been raised to new life in Christ (Romans 6:4-6). God’s power breaks habits, strongholds, and patterns of defeat.
  • Healing and Renewal – Just as Jesus rose in glory, God’s Spirit revives our weary bodies and minds. His power restores, strengthens, and renews us daily (2 Corinthians 4:16).
  • Authority Over the Enemy – Christ’s resurrection sealed the defeat of Satan. We do not fight for victory—we fight from a position of victory. Jesus declared, “I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
  • Hope for Eternal Life – Christ’s resurrection guarantees our own. Death is not our end but the doorway to eternity with Him (1 Corinthians 15:20-22).

Reflection: Are You Living in This Power?

Many accept the resurrection as a historical event but fail to walk in its power. Fear, doubt, and struggles often overshadow the Spirit’s work in us.

Take a moment to reflect:

  • Am I living as one raised with Christ?
  • Do I walk in victory, or do past strongholds still hold me back?
  • Am I allowing the Holy Spirit to strengthen and transform me daily?

Your Weekly Challenge:

  • Declare Romans 8:11 over your life each morning, affirming the resurrection power within.
  • Identify one area where you need victory and ask God to move powerfully.
  • Walk with confidence, knowing Christ’s resurrection life is at work in you.

The power that raised Jesus from the dead is alive in you. Move in it. Live in it.
