Daily Bread Devotional: Rejoicing in God’s Heritage. In this verse, the Psalmist declares with joy and confidence that his portion in life—his inheritance from God—is good. It’s a reminder that God’s blessings and provisions for His children are intentional and perfect.

Regardless of our challenges, our inheritance in Him remains secure, filled with goodness and purpose.

This “heritage” is more than material blessings. It encompasses spiritual peace, divine protection, favor, and the assurance that God’s plans for our lives are good. Sometimes we may lose sight of this when life feels difficult, but this verse calls us to shift our focus to what God has already given us—His grace, promises, and unchanging love.

When we pause to reflect on our heritage in Christ, we realize that the “lines” of our lives—whether in career, relationships, or spiritual growth—are ultimately guided by His hand. And in that, we can rejoice.

Prayer:
Lord, I thank You for the good and pleasant heritage You’ve given me. Help me to trust in Your perfect plans, even when things seem uncertain. Remind me daily of Your blessings, and let my heart be filled with joy and gratitude. Amen.

Takeaway:
Rejoice in the heritage God has given you—it is good, pleasant, and full of promise. Trust that your life is guided by His loving hand, and rest in the assurance that He has already laid out good things for you.
