The Way, the Truth, and the Life: Finding Hope in Jesus

Today’s WBL Ministry Devotional, Finding Hope in Jesus, makes us see our Lord Jesus Christ as the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

In our journey through life, we often encounter moments of hunger, thirst, fear, and need. But in these moments, we can discover the unwavering love and provision of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer.

The Way, the Truth, and the Life: Finding Hope in Jesus

This devotional aims to draw you to Christ and help you find hope and salvation in His presence.

When I am hungry, you feed me with Bread.

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life. I am that bread of life.” (John 6:47, 48 KJV)

Physical hunger reminds us of our deeper spiritual hunger for meaning and purpose. Jesus, the bread of life, offers everlasting sustenance to our souls. Believing in Him leads to eternal life and fulfilment beyond our physical needs.

When I am thirsty, Water of Life!

“But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.” (John 4:14 KJV)

Thirst represents our spiritual longing for a deeper connection. Jesus is the living water that quenches our spiritual thirst and leads us to eternal life. When we drink from the wellspring of His love, we find unending satisfaction and purpose.

I will not fear because you’re always with me.

”…for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” (Hebrews 13:5, 6 KJV)

Fear can be overwhelming, but knowing that God is always with us gives us the courage to face life’s challenges. We can confidently declare that the Lord is our helper, offering salvation and protection from fear through faith in Christ.

Every Need I have, you satisfy.

“Don’t worry and say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ Seek first God’s kingdom and what God wants. Then all your other needs will be met as well.” (Matthew 6:31, 33)

“The Lord is my shepherd; I have everything I need.” (Psalms 23:1)

Seeking God’s kingdom first ensures that He will meet our physical and spiritual needs. As our shepherd, the Lord cares for every aspect of our lives. Through faith in Christ, we find eternal fulfilment and salvation.
