This remarkable truth grants us the authority to conquer any obstacle or challenge that may cross our path.

God has given us Power over Principalities and Powers

Jesus bestowed this promise upon His disciples upon their return from their evangelistic endeavours: “Behold, I give unto you the power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19). This incredible power is also accessible to us. We have been granted dominion over every force of the enemy, and no harm shall befall us.

However, it is crucial to always remember that our power and authority originate from Christ. We are incapable of overcoming the enemy through our own strength, but rather through the empowerment we receive from Christ, who fortifies us (Philippians 4:13).

In times of spiritual warfare, it is imperative that we turn to God in fervent prayer, relying on His strength and seeking His divine guidance.

Remain vigilant

Additionally, we must remain vigilant and cognizant of the cunning schemes of the enemy. The scriptures caution us that Satan prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). Nevertheless, we can resist him and stand firm in our faith, fully aware that the same mighty power that resurrected Christ from the dead resides within us (Ephesians 1:19-20).

In conclusion, as devoted followers of Christ, we possess an extraordinary power over principalities and powers. The authority to conquer the enemy and remain unharmed has been entrusted to us.

We must continually rely on God’s strength and guidance while remaining vigilant against the deceitful tactics of the enemy. With God by our side, we can boldly tread upon the lion and adder, triumphantly trample the young lion and dragon under our feet.
